I read reviews before buying these which said they run small. I typically wear a size 8 or 8 1/2. I ordered the 8 1/2, but they were even too small. Just return them for a size 9. They appeared to be great quality, and super cute. Excited to get the size 9 and see how they feel!

Durable and stylish boots. My only complaint is that they are not warm enough to just wear out into our North Dakota winter! While they are mostly waterproof, I choose to wear other warmer boots to work in the mornings and just change into these when I arrive.

They are absolutely gorgeous, adaptable to different outfits, and most important, she says they are super comfortable. Molded to her foot and required zero breaking in. Absolutely love these boots. I’m used to timberlands that have a bulkier look to them. I really only wear them in the snow because they’re not attractive enough to me for everyday wear. These boots however are perfect. They’re a much lower profile, and not bulky at all. They are much more versatile for everyday wear during the winter. They’re extremely comfortable and I love the knitted “sock” detail. I would def half size up though.

Living in Minnesota with the snow and salt all over, these boots seem to handle it all. I wear these daily and I do have small water stains because of the snow on the toe of my boot, but as expected. I ordered a 1/2 size larger due to other reviews and do not regret it one bit, just enough room for thick socks in the winter!! Would buy again!!

I have been using these boots in an everyday fashion since I bought them and love them. As far as breaking them in they really don’t change much around the actual foot, but the ankle part does seem to be loosening up (which is fine since it has the laces). I do plan on using them for hiking in the summer, as my current hiking shoes are too clunky and they make me feel clumsy. These seem like they will do just fine. I WILL SAY – like others have said they run small. I usually wear 7.5 or 8, and these in an 8 are still a close call. I would have been able to wear and 8.5 for sure, but they fit just enough that I didn’t want to bother with an exchange.

My first pair of Ballard Lace boots kept me happy for good 7 years and they are still in good shape. I got this model in size 8, same as before and they fit perfectly. My foot length is 25cm, so the size chart is correct.
I haven’t wore them in wet weather yet, but judging from the first pair these boots are made to survive everything.
The only thing I don’t like that much is the upper part, but I’m not a huge fan of change when it comes to fashion, so I guess I’ll get used it.

Living in Seattle means waterproof is key! Size was a bit hard to figure out, but beyond that these are comfy, easy fit, run a little small (go a half size up for comfort and plan a tight squeeze but a good tight hiking fit if you stay true to size – just can’t fit any heavier socks than the lightest weight). Once I figured out the lighter weight socks I bring these on trips and wear them everyday with comfort. Plan on a short breaking in period and then being happy they’re in your closet

I tried 3 other waterproof boots that weren’t wide enough in the front before I finally got these. They are much more spacious and comfortable. The top of the boot is also much more flexible for less break in time.
