This is my first North Face product. My husband, who’s from Alaska, insisted I find a down jacket so I wouldn’t be miserable in the cold when I visited my in-laws. After a lot of research, I decided on this jacket because of price point. All other brands with similar jackets were slightly more expensive, and with the 10% discount I got for being a first time customer, it was a good price. The reviews on sizing had me confused but I decided to get a size M as I tend to be cold and usually layer. The jacket fit perfectly. Hand to [insert relevant deity here] , I did not take that jacket off unless I was indoors or in bed. For someone who is always cold and needs to bundle up, I wore only one layer under the jacket most days! I had to come to terms that when in Alaska, my tendency to put fashion ahead of comfort had to go out of the window. But with this jacket, I could wear my usual clothes without looking like a clumsy baby penguin with all my layers.

Glad I got the XL instead of the L. I usually take a medium in tops but I like my sweatshirts big and comfy and this will fit over them nicely this winter. Definitely recommend sizing up if you like to wear multiple layers.
