I got it as a Christmas present, I live in Montana, and I never take it off! It’s great in 40 degree weather or -20 degrees. Incredibly comfortable, and I love how there are fleece wrist warmers that extend beyond the sleeve of the coat. The only drawback is that I cannot keep the parka hood on when I drive, as my neck movements are restricted. But that’s a pretty minute problem. ( I just wear a hat underneath, which I do anyway)

Some specs: 5’3″ Bostonian who shops a lot at the Gap and generally wears a 4/6 in pants and dresses, or S/sometimes M in shirts and sweaters.
When ordering jackets I always consider going up a size because of layering clothes underneath, but went with the small due to length, since I’m on the shorter side. It fits so perfectly and is so, so warm. We have just had our first burst of winter in New England and I have so appreciated the fluff and warmth this jack provides. The mittens are great, too. When initially researching this coat I thought I read a review that said you couldn’t take the fur hood off, but you can actually zip the fur lining off and the hood remains on the jacket. The fur was a lot for me, so that was handy. It reaches in the back to about the back of my knees, and just above my knees in the front. When I sit down it feels like I’m sitting on a pillow. The dual zipper is handy so that your legs aren’t trapped as you try and walk. I love all of the pockets. In addition to being functional, it also looks really cute and not so bulky as some other jackets tend to do. Would highly recommend.

I’m so excited to wear this jacket this winter! I live in Minnesota, so it’s going to get pretty cold and windy. I have woren it a few times so far, when it was windy and had I walk the dog in the morning and I felt so cozy!!

Walking around downtown Chicago in 30F weather, the zipper finally gave out on my 15 yr old puffy down coat. So I made my way to the NF store and bit the bullet to drop this kind of cash on a coat. I couldn’t be happier! With a howling wind, the hood and fur lining blocked it ALL. I was amazed. It got so warm walking around outside that I ended up unzipping the coat to stay cool! This coat is going to be awesome for cold Chicago winters. Well worth the money. I love the deep hood and extra sleeve mitten details. So clever! I’m 5’11”, size 10/12 and I bought an XL. The large fit ok, but it would have been tight with a bulky sweater on underneath, so I opted for a little extra room.

This is my first time in NY, and I had to survive for the winter. After a long benchmark and asking advises around, this North Face Jacket was the most valuable choice! I am so glad to have bought it!
I am wearing a size S and it fits perfectly, I highly recommend this model if you are afraid as much as me of the winter.
The BIG PLUS of this jacket is that you can hide your hands from breeze (I discovered that after 2 weeks haha)

I have had this parka for a year and I can confidently say that I am very disappointed in this purchase. I wear dark colors all year long and it was so disheartening and frustrating having to constantly remove the tiny feathers coming out of the cheap lining. It came to the point that I had to carry lint remover sheets in my purse and office desk and spend 15 minutes or more removing EVERY SINGLE ONE (please see image of my wool base layer after spending a cold, NZ winter day in this parka). It’s embarrassing to do so, and even more so when taking off said parka and people noticing said feathers flying around. A clothing item this expensive should not be such a hassle to deal with. I’m going to give this away and get my outerwear from another brand.

This parka is very beautiful and it looks great on the body. It’s not like the other parkas that make us look very big. It’s so warm and the size was perfect for me. I’m 5′ 4” and 128lbs and got a size S. The hood is also very pretty. I researched a lot before buying and had a very hard time finding a quality parka that also looked good… really glad I found one! It is also much nicer than how it looks in the picture 🙂

I really love this coat for its features. The parka does an amazing job at protecting you from very cold days. I no longer layer up or bring my scarf as often as I would with my other coats. The HyVent design protects your neck very nicely. My ONLY PROBLEM with the coat is, it is not designed for curvy women. I’m a Size Small with thicker thighs and this Parka bulks up once I start walking and coat bulges around the upper pocket area. For me, I have to unzip the bottom at all times, which takes away from protecting my lower body from the cold coming in.

This coat is so great! It arrived right on time even though I had to return the small size I got for a medium. It is THE warmest coat I have ever owned and has great insulation. This coat will absolutely keep me warm when I spend hours outdoors in freezing temperatures. The material is thick and sturdy. Additionally the fuzzy hood provides an extra layer of warmth and will protect my face from snow. I would highly recommend this coat to anyone who is in need of a new winter coat to keep them warm. I would purchase it again and recommend it to anyone with ZERO hesitation.

Great quality but I ordered an XS (which I have ordered from North Face before) and the jacket was too long – both the overall length and the sleeves. I realize it is supposed to be oversized but it was too much on my 5’3″ frame so I returned for a different style.

This coat replaced one I had for the past 10 years. The length is better – hits my knees, has water resistant fabric, and has hand warmer pockets too in case I forget my gloves. It’s great for wearing around New York City when I’m either heading out to meet up with friends, run errands, or commuting to work. The coat is a heavy weight, and super warm. It dipped down to 12 degrees with a wind chill that made it feel like 2 degrees one day, and it kept me very warm. I originally ordered an XL, but it was too large, so I took it back to a store and exchanged it for a L, which fit much better. The XL just was too large in the shoulders and the sleeve length was too long for me. Sizing down helped significantly.

This is massive and heavy. Tough to zip up. Will keep you warm in a tundra. This thing is made for the coldest temps. Just way too heavy for every day use. Restricts movement.

This parka fitted very nice..even has room for a sweater if you choose.
Great for the wintry weather..not bulky…easy to move around.
It also has straps attached as the picture shows that you can carried your coat on your back.

I’m very pleased with this coat. It is very warm and is able to withstand the brutal NY winter. Harsh winds are no match as I don’t feel anything while wearing the coat. I’ve worn it in sleeting rain and heavy snow and it dries fast. I like the upper chest pockets with zippers which are very convenient. I’m 5’5, chesty, and it fits well. I still have room to layer and not feel uncomfortable. I got the Navy in a Medium.

My mother and I have the same parka. We love them. It’s not bulky, good fit, comfortable, waterproof, and good quality. The hoodie could improve by being bigger and adjustable.
