I bought this bag in 2021 and took it on several trips (Boston, Bar Harbor, NYC, Florida, etc.). Let’s just skip how convenient and durable this bag is. I recently discovered a new way of using it as a grocery bag on my bike. Thanks to the loops on this bag, I use two rubber twist ties to fasten the bag on my bike’s cargo rack, allowing me to carry tons of groceries easily. PLUS, it’s waterproof.
I just like how this bag could surprise me!

This is a solid bag. Quality is super high and can take the dings of an airport. Will not get wet if placed on a damp/wet surface. Backpack straps are A+

My Base Camp Duffel works great. Solid, sturdy, and has (stowable) pack straps that fit well and can tote a heavy load without cutting in to my shoulders. Fits my two folding festival chairs (the low ones) and zips shut. The zippered end pocket is a great addition, as is the mesh inner pocket. Superstrong zippers everywhere move a bit stiffly, but I think its the newness, and will silicone them easily if need be. I like that its mostly made of post-consumer recycled material. The end handle is well-designed.

THIS is the duffel I’ve been looking for! I was gifted the same duffel in XL and it was cavernous. Seriously, my Australian Shepherd climbed inside with room to spare. I wanted something a bit more manageable for weekend trips to the mountains or the city. This is it. It’s super sturdy. The stiffness of the materials and zipper is off-putting to some, but for me it screams quality and strength. I love the water resistance, the thoughtful design that keeps the zipper covered, and handles in just the right places. I’m not using the backpack straps, but I’m sure they will come in handy eventually. I can put everything in here. Hiking boots, clothes, toiletries, travel towel/blanket, and a couple of dog toys. (I put them in separate packs for organizing). Maybe 1 more inside pocket would be nice other than the mesh pocket on the lid, otherwise, this is your new favorite!

This is for traveling to and during outdoor pursuits. You might as well look as good as you can while also being capable of achieving your big goals. Your crew will love the straps, and the durability, as you stuff all your gear inside and walk to a remote aid station. If you have too much gear, get a bigger size. You could also go minimalist and size down. This size is perfect for crewing a racer in a hundred mile race. There is plenty of room for a rain kit, poles, extra shoes/socks, not smelly shirt, warming kit, and SNACKS. Lots of room for snacks in there. The finish coating keeps precious gear dry and allows for a wipe down after you get back to base camp. The. It’s time to reload and repeat OR do better the second time.

Incredible base camp bag! I stuff all of my clothes and most of my gear into the bag for my trips and have found that I usually have room for more! It has almost lead me to some problems when I get to my basecamp on what I am taking with me! I love the bag! It’s great!

This is all that it’s advertised to be. It’s a structured, sturdy material with heavy duty straps and handles (so many handles!). It’s a structured bag that also comes with its own carry sack for storage. The zippers are somewhat stiff, which I do expect and is normal on truly waterproof equipment, in my experience. I purchased this to carry and store cross country gear, including boots, many layers, wax, etc. I think it will easily hold my full kit, and likely both styles of boots so that I have options when I get to the trail. It’s not inexpensive, but I feel like it’s worth it – time will tell for durability. It’s overkill for a basic gym bag, but for larger gear and boots, just right.

I was on the fence between the base camp M and the 30″ rolling thunder… so glad I went with the base camp. Tons of space, carry on, and the side straps help shrink it down when needed. Buy this!
