I ordered both the black and gray in my usual size. I have other TNF high rise tights that fit me perfectly (I’m long in the waist). The Paramont Hybids didn’t fit the same way. The waistband on the gray tights was too low in back and too high in the front. It felt like I had them on backwards! The black ones fit better in the waist; still a bit too high in front, but OK in the back. But, the overall fit was weird, so I ended up returning them. The problem was that the fabric used for the back side is less stretchy than the knit used for the front. The front got really baggy after wearing them around the house for a short while. The tights were wrinkling around my ankles – and really all the way up the front – but only in front. If the 2 fabrics were switched front to back, or if the tights were made entirely of the tougher, less stretchy back fabric, it might have worked. BTW, there’s no adjustable cord in the waistband. I didn’t really need it, but some people might.

I love these pants so much!! I use them for work because I can dress them up!

I wanted to love these pants but the material is so strange. The front is super stretchy and comfortable and the back has ZERO stretch so all the inner seams pulled uncomfortably and the pants kept sliding down when I sat or bent over, making them unwearable.
If you are very skinny they might work for you but if you have any hips or booty the fit would be uncomfortable and unflattering.

I wore these pants one time and the crotch ripped 🙁 they are super comfortable and cute. But I was very disappointed to splurge on these pants to only wear one time

When will outdoor brands realize that you don’t have to be a size 2 to be active and outside? It’s hardly just a North Face problem, though for me they’re some of the worst offenders. I am usually a size 10, so actually below the average size in the US which is a 14. I am a former semi-professional alpine snowboarder, and still am very active outdoors. I have powerful thighs and calves from years spent training and my genetics, and these pants are AWFUL. They are baggy at the crotch/rear/waist/knees, and then they are uncomfortably tight at the thighs and calves? For reference I am about 5’6 and I weigh 158lbs and I bought a Large. The material doesn’t stretch and is just really weird. I have large bibs from TNF which fit me well, as well as my sister who is a size 6. I also have large bike shorts which barely fit me. It just enrages me that TNF has such discriminatory sizing. I am not plus sized, plus sizing starts at 14 which includes over 70% of women in the United States. So why am I unable or barely able to fit into a Large with this brand? Many women who enjoy outdoor recreation are average sized, and it seems like TNF is telling them that they don’t want to clothe them. It’s honestly sad.

Recently purchased this item in the olive color and will definitely be purchasing the other colors. You can style it with a t-shirt for casual wear or head to the gym for weightlifting due to the durability and stretch it has. I also wore it to the hospital for a 9 hour shift and the comfort it provided was outstanding along with the numerous compliments about the color and style. I did feel the thigh area was a little too tight so I sized up but then the waist area was a little too big but not that big of an issue because my shirt hugged by body and it was more comfortable.

I’m a pear-shaped gal and these tights fit every part of me and do not slide down. I can wear them casually or with a nice shirt. The fabric is substantial and doesn’t reveal anything. I feel great every time I walk out the door.
Karen –
Love these pants! I have them in black and now olive green. I wear them on light hikes/walks as well as casually. I am generally a Medium bottom with TNF; I bought a medium and they fit perfectly.

Although I read all reviews before purchasing, it wasn’t for me. I was hoping for a softer material, but this was definitely one of those wind jacket materials that makes swooshing noise when you walk. I usually have skinny ankles, but putting these on were a struggle. I couldn’t find myself to love it, so I ended up returning it. I do love Northface products though. I will probably have to do instore purchases from now on for pant/legging wear.

I use these for: training at the gym, hiking, and walking my dog. Great stretch for range of motion and comfort. Light and breathable.
Jodi –
These are the most comfortable pants! I’m going to buy them in every color. Perfect for traveling.

I’m 5’4, and I usually wear size 14 or 16, L or XL.
Bought the grey pair in XL last summer and they’ve been my favorite pants ever since. I’ve gotten several compliments on how flattering they are. They’re extremely comfortable and look as good as they did when I bought them, now 8 months later.
Potential cons for some people: they are fairly fitted with a lot of stretch, and when you have large items (e.g. phone) in the pockets, it looks a little funny. But I’ll take the practicality of pockets any day.
Also, yes- as many reviewers mentioned, the pants are more fitted around the calves and ankles, and a bit looser in the thigh and bum area. But this works for me, as I have a bigger booty. It all adds up to a flattering fit, and I don’t find them any more difficult to take off than any other pair of leggings I own. They don’t slide down and don’t dig into my waist.
What’s nice is that they look dressier than my other leggings, and they’re somehow more comfortable than my other leggings, so I can feel slightly more stylish and also more comfy.

I would absolutely buy these again and again! In fact, I’ve bought all 3 colors! Please get more!

The best tight I’ve ever had!!
Shelly –
Not a fan of hiking typical pants so thought I’d give these Hybrid tights a try. They did not disappoint! They are cute and flattering for this petite hiking enthusiast. Front slit and rear pockets are nice for stashing small must haves. True to size.
Cyndy –
These are my 2nd pair of my new favorite errand, hiking, lounging, traveling pants! Comfortable and flattering.
Cyndy –
First pair and bought a 2nd pair in different color, new favorite pants for just about anything!
Kb –
These are perfect for those of us who have stupidly long torsos and huge booties. So comfortable when you’re this body type.
Evelyn –
The tights are comfortable and have ease of movement.
Cory –
These are warmer than I’d imagined they’d be. It’s the perfect cross between yoga style pants and something with a little more function with the full size pockets. I expect I’ll be buying more of these.
And now for the twist. I’m a man and these pants are perfect for me.
Michelle –
True to size good length. Not too long like other pants.
